BitGo Expands Regulatory Footprint with VARA and BaFin Approvals
BitGo MENA FZE has secured a Broker-Dealer license from Dubai's VIRTUAL Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), enabling institutional digital asset trading services in the region. The approval follows BitGo's recent authorization under the EU's MiCA framework by Germany's BaFin, positioning the firm as a compliant gateway between traditional finance and crypto markets.
The VARA license permits BitGo MENA to operate OTC and electronic trading platforms for spot transactions, offering institutional clients aggregated liquidity across multiple venues. "Competitive pricing meets DEEP liquidity with AED and USD trading pairs," said Nick Coombs, Managing Director of MENA Sales, underscoring the platform's value proposition for regional institutions.
